What is Squirrel?

I met someone from the mainland a few days ago. He was Venezuelan or something like that, from Texas. Since his name was Carlos I thought he was a Mexican, Mexican Redneck. It was quite entertaining talking to him, because he couldn't believe I have never saw a squirrel in my life. It was a very complex and random story why we ended up talking about squirrels in the first place, but if you really want to know you can just email me, all you need to know is that we were at a lan party. Yes, even people from Hawaii play video games and PWN o.0 at it too. Well going back to the story, I tried to explain to him that there were no squirrels here at all. Still he couldn't believe me! It must be infested with squirrels in the mainland or something because this guy was astonished. I tried to explain that we have something similar, but different here, because this type of rodent cannot be found anywhere else in the world. This unique species, due to isolation and years of evolution, is called a Mongoose or Nei Nei Goose. Yeah I know it has a weird name, but the fact of the matter is they are here, and found everywhere.

One time I even saw one going in my back yard grabbing one of my chickens eggs and wobbling back to its nest on its hind legs!

Over this simple topic we can see that Hawaii and the Mainland are very similar but oh so different! Please comment on a funny experience you have had relating to this topic. And yes, I have see a Squirrel on the internet before!!
